This first batch of new games includes bonkers racer Jet Car Stunts 2, slick physics-puzzler Feed Me Oil 2, and nifty cartoon whodunit Detective Grimoire. We got a nice break from the unrelenting fire hose of mobile games over Christmas, but the endless rush of new games started anew on January 1st. We also chatted to Barry Meade of Fireproof about making much-anticipated sequel The Room 2 and whether the rumours of the death of paid games have been greatly exaggerated. #Tengami reflections youtube codeWe chatted to Simon Flesser (the 'Simo' in Simogo) about Year Walk and DEVICE 6, and then got sidetracked and just started talking about CiNG games like Another Code and Hotel Dusk. We finished off the year by interviewing the developers behind some of our favourite iOS games of 2013. We also looked forward to the next year of 3DS games (including Smash Bros., Treasurenauts, and Shantae) and the next 12 months of Vita titles (which features such treats as Metrico and Hohokum). But it's also a cracking opportunity to look ahead and see what's heading our way during our next orbit around the sun. Okay, so the end of the year may be a time for reflection. That's right: our rundown of the most beautiful App Store icons from the last year. And on Vita, we loved games like Tearaway, Spelunky, and Guacamelee!īut, when that's all said and done, there's only one year-end list that really matters, isn't there? The greatest 3DS games of the year included Fire Emblem: Awakening, the new Pokemon, and the utterly wonderful Animal Crossing: New Leaf. And we chose the top 10 Android games, which included Ridiculous Fishing and The Room. We kicked off with the best iOS games of 2013, which featured the likes of censorship saga Blackbar and viking adventure Icebreaker.
